Back pain is a very common condition that most people experience at some point in their lives. Causes can include sedentary lifestyle, lifting with poor mechanics, decreased fitness, prolonged positioning without breaks, heavy/strenuous work and athletic tasks, sudden changes in activity, and many others. Most back pain is non-specific, meaning there is not a specific structural cause and patients usually do very well with PT.
