GROIN STRAINS/PULLS AND TEARS
A muscle strain is a mild tear of a muscle that can progress to a full tear if more severe. The groin muscles (inner thigh) can be injured when stretched quickly during activities such as performing the splits, during a slip and fall, or during activities that heavily use these muscles, such as running, sprinting, and jumping.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS:
- Tenderness along inner thigh
- Decreased range of motion
- Decreased strength
- Difficulty with weight bearing due to pain
